(…) Pedro Boese's panels and etchings are abstract, mathematically precise geometries. But the elements, which are actually based on uniform harmony, are shifted in themselves, tilted to one side as a whole, the edges broken off over a large area and the forms torn. By disrupting the expected, perspectives are shifted and the familiar is shaken. The deliberate destabilization of traditional perspectives is not necessarily destructive, but paradoxically indispensable for their continued existence in the changing times. (…)
