269 Farben + Interferenzen - Scotty Enterprises, Berlin
Opening: 04.09.2007, 7 pm
Duration: 05.-15.09.2007
With his non-representational compositional systems of colour discs, Pedro Boese creates objective conditions for the investigation of colour effects. Despite the reduced formal language, the pictorial space is always surprisingly redefined in work cycles. The cycles are based on the approach of determining joints between rational order and intuitive design.
In Composition with 269 Colours, the same number of different colours are distributed over neutral grey. The polychrome surface reveals systematic references and unites the colour tones of the picture. ‘Interferences’ is the title of Boese's most recent artistic exploration, in which an initially strict spatial organisation and clear contours of form are subverted to create a more open structure.
