At the centre of the exhibition by Berlin-based painter and printmaker Pedro Boese is the pictorial object Joe - Version ll, which is presented across the room. The work is accompanied by new colour etchings. Pedro Boese works with abstract patterns, sometimes reminiscent of tiles, which he combines and fragments. Through his sophisticated technique, especially in the complex technique of etching, he achieves a three-dimensional reality of the patterns and a unique, subtle colourfulness.
