The artist Pedro Boese is interested in the frontal reading of the Picture Window format. With his work Amy - Version I, he explores the boundaries of the traditional painting. Boese engages with the presentation of a pictorial object, whose singular elements knot in a unique piece. The visitor's gaze is caught within the centre of the window, where the painting-object overbalances and writhes beyond verticality. This picture constellation encompasses both: the expansion of a two dimensional canvas inscribed on a flat surface, as well as a factual space employed by its dynamics and twist.
